How do I join a ForgeRust server?

Pick a server on our homepage and hit Join: Rust opens and connects you straight in. You can also press F1 in Rust and type client.connect followed by the server address shown on the server page.

Where are the servers located?

Both servers are hosted in Texas, USA, a central spot for players across North America.

Can I play on console?

No. ForgeRust runs on Rust for PC (Steam). Rust Console Edition can not join PC servers.

When do the servers wipe?

Both servers wipe monthly, on the official Rust force wipe on the first Thursday of the month. The countdown on each server card shows how long is left.

What is the difference between PvE and PvP?

On PvE you play against NPCs, Raidable Bases and events instead of other players, with 3X gather. On PvP every blueprint is unlocked from the start and other players are the main threat.

How do I report a cheater or a problem?

Press F7 in game to send a report, or open a ticket in our Discord. Our admins are active on both.

What are the rules?

The basics every Rust server has: no cheating or exploiting, respect other players, no advertising. On PvE no griefing; on PvP there is no team limit and raiding is allowed. See the rules page for the full list.

Where can I talk to other players?

In our Discord: wipe announcements, events, support and the community all live there.

Can I run my own Rust server?

Yes. Our guide on hosting your own Rust server covers your options, how much RAM you need and the common mistakes: forgerustservers.com/host-your-own-rust-server.

Is ForgeRust PvE a real PvE server?

Yes. ForgeRust PvE is set up for PvE: the fights are against NPCs, Raidable Bases and events, not against other players.

Do I need to research blueprints?

No. Every blueprint is unlocked from the start and they are never wiped.
